I would rate this game over all 3 stars. Playing VS the computer (a virtual team) can be quite frusterating. But playing aganist another player in two player mode is way more fun!
The frusteration when playing vs the computer (a virtual team) is caused by:
1)When you pass to your teammate, it passes out of bounds often.
2)When you pass to your teammate, it'll turnover to the virtual team often.
3)When the opponent dunks, they typically won't call an offenseive foul when they should. Rather, it says you fouled them.
4)When the opponent goes up to the free-throw line, thypically will make every shot, but they very rarely miss.
There is some more things that come up that may frusterate you as well.
So overall, I recommend playing 2 player the play VS the virtual team (computer).
MY OVERALL RATING: 3 STARS.

This was the best basketball ever when this came out plus it has legends like jordan, bird and Dr.J you can also play outdoors 1on1

My two brothers and I (ages 25, 23, and 22) love playing this game against each other and beating the trash out of the poor little guys on the screen. We turn fouls off, rules off, and bomb treys the whole time. That's about all this game is good for. As an actual basketball simulator, it sucks. The players are too inconsistent. For example, in one game a guy can go off for 30 points on ten threes, and in the next he will go 0-12 from behind the arc. But the game is still fun to play, in the tradition of NBA Jam and its offspring. If you want to throw it down, bust a few treys, knock a few guys around, then go for it. This is the game for you. The draft feature is really cool. You can create some awesome teams. But it's not a realistic basketball game. Look elsewhere, or get your ball and take it outside if you want a real basketball experience.

this games graphics are horrible,other than that this game is great.

this game is pretty good but the graphics do need a little work on compared to ps2 and xbox. Besides that its a good game because the gameplay is good.I also like the feature that lets u be teams from any decade.
Overall this game is pretty good.If u like basketball and up for a challenge then u should get nba live 2000.
