Even though B&D discontiued this line I think it was the longest lasting flashlight I have known? I have 2 and even when a friend leaves them on as usuall they are still bright! I wished I had more.

This is a flashlight, a three LED flashlight that has a jointed head so it can be turned in different directions It uses VPX batteries. VPX is black and decker's new system that uses the same lithium ion batteries for several devices including this one. You don't get a battery or a charger with this item, it's assumed you already own other vpx powered gadgets and have batteries and chargers from those items. The drill is worth buying, they also have two versions of a light duty drill/screwdriver, a saw, an inflator, and a USB or AC inverter for charging small devices like an ipod or a cell phone. I have many of the gadgets, they are very handy and the lithium ion batteries have good life. Someone was thoughtful when they setup the chargers they can be daisy chained together so they use only a single plug. I like this system and I've used my devices quite a bit, the local home depot was clearing these out because it was a christmas item and I got a good deal on all the pieces. This item does what it claims but it's not worth 19 bucks.
Not very bright

The light is not very bright, I have an LED mag light (2 D cell) and several other LED flashlights and this one by far is the weakest. If you get it on the cheap then I guess it may be worth it. Some light is still better than no light at all but don't expect to see any further than a foot and a half away or so with this thing.
